Mary Lou Thelen, 80, of Campbellsport passed away Tuesday May 12, 2009 at her home with her loving family gathered around her. She was born Nov. 28, 1928 in Campbellsport on the daughter of Hugo and Ella Miller Steinacker. On Sept. 17, 1949 she married Joseph F. Thelen at St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Ashford. Mary Lou worked at Regalware in Kewaskum and then at St. Joseph Convent in Campbellsport for 20 years. She was a member of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Campbellsport and the Christian Women. Most important to Mary Lou was her family: her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include her husband Joe, her children Mike “Toby” (Linda) of Fond du Lac, Gary (Jill) of Sheboygan, Linda (Joe) Petersen of Campbellsport and Lori (Bob Wick) Russel of Campbellsport, 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, her sister Marjorie Ketter of Campbellsport, her brother Richard (Lucy) Steinacker of Fond du Lac, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Gloria and her infant brother Dale. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Sat. May16, 2009 at 11:00 AM at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, Campbellsport. Rev. Neil Zinthefer will officiate and burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be Friday May 15 from 4 to 8 PM at the Twohig Funeral Home 109 W. Main St. Campbellsport and on Sat. from 10:00 AM until time of mass at the Church.
