Harold James “Jim” Uelmen, 65, of Campbellsport passed away Tuesday May 12, 2009 at his home. He was born on July 5, 1943 in Campbellsport the son of Norbert and Eleanor Schlaefer Uelmen. He married the love of his life Rosanne Schill on May 8, 2009. He served in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1966. After returning from service he worked as a carpenter with Uelmen Builders, Gross Construction and Lindsley Construction. Jim took great pride in his finish work. He was a member of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Campbellsport, was an enthusiastic Packer fan and enjoyed playing Skat. Survivors include his wife Rosanne, his brother Jerome “Bud” (Julaine) of Campbellsport, his sisters Charlene “Dolly” (Robert) Lindsley, Rose (Francis) Pierret, Kathy (Dwayne) Wolf all of Campbellsport and Patrice (Mark) Bobzien of Janesville, his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Marilyn and Chuck Thanos of Milwaukee, Dick and Myrtle Schill of Beloit, John and LeNore Schill of Campbellsport, Carol and Ron Moore, Patti and Gary Schwartz all of Fond du Lac, Michael and Joann Schill of Campbellsport, Tom and Lydia Schill of Arlington Heights, IL and David and Laurie Schill of Marion, Iowa, his godchildren Dawn Kind, Jason Wolf, Michael Lindsley and Amelia Bobzien, his special pets Mandy and Lexie, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Jack and his father-in-law and mother-in-law Mike and Sophie Schill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday May 15, 2009 at 7:00 PM at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, Campbellsport. Rev. Neil Zinthefer will officiate and burial will be Saturday in St. Matthew’s Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 3:00 PM until time of mass at the church. Memorials are appreciated to Hospice Hope, the Campbellsport Volunteer Fire Department or St. Matthew’s Church. The family extends a special thank you to the staffs of Hospice Hope and Home Health Care, the social workers, Dr. Tom, Patty Hayes and the staff of Agnesian Healthcare and Father Neil for their care and concern for Harry “ Jim” during his illness.
