Mary L. Rumpel Saleska, 56, of Fond du Lac passed away Saturday May 16, 2009 at the Hospice Home of Hope with her family gathered around her. She was born in Berlin, WI on Nov.29, 1952 the daughter of Robert and Elizabeth Weldon Rumpel. She was a 1970 graduate of the Tri-County High School in Plainfield. She did General office work as a secretary for a number of years. Her legacy was her words of encouragement by letters and notes. Survivors include her fiancée Wayne Schmidt of Fond du Lac, her mother Elizabeth Rumpel of Plainfield, 3 sisters: Susan Rumpel of Waupun, Kathy (Tony) Ristau of Oshkosh, LeeAnne Gaschk of Oshkosh, 2 brothers: Tim (Deb) Rumpel of Panama City, FL and Matthew (Kaye) Rumpel of Sheffield, England, nieces and nephews: Mary Ellen (Edgar) Alonso of Janesville, Amy (Rob) White of Madison, Jen (Joe) Waters of Green Lake, Fred (Cheri) Ristau of Kalamazoo, MI, Renee (Pat) Doyle of Ripon, Ule (Kikki) Ninnemann of Norway, Estelle Ninnemann of West Allis,Kevin Gaschk of Stevens Point, Shawn (Katie) Rumpel of Warren, Shannon (Gabe) Gray of Mather and Matthew(Little Matt) Rumpel of Waupaca, special Uncle Jack Weldon of Shawano great nieces and nephews: Zach, Zoe, Rowan, Jadyn, Breana, Katie, Carter, Einer, Douglas, Thomas and Austin and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Robert. Memorial services will be held Tuesday May 19 at 2:00 PM at Community Church at N6717 Streblow Dr Fond du Lac with Rev. Ken Nabi officiating. Committal services at Plainfield Cemetery will take palce on Sat. May 23rd at 1:00 PM. Friends may call on Tuesday May 19 at the church from 12:00 to 2:00 PM.
