Michael E. Brath, Sr. 87, of Ashford passed away on Sunday June 21, 2009 at St. Agnes Hospital with his beloved family gathered around him. He was born on Aug. 23, 1921 in the Town of Ashford the son of the late Emil and Mary Cernak Brath. On Feb. 14, 1942 he married Georgianna Hagen at St. John’s Catholic Church in Rubicon. Mike farmed in the Towns of Herman, Lomira and Ashford. He was a member of St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Ashford, St. Martin’s Cemetery Committee and the Ashford Sportmans Club. Mike was an avid Brewer fan, enjoyed Polka dancing and making sausage. Survivors include his wife Georgianna, his children Michael (Jayne) Jr., Ron (Judy), Stanley (Millie), Carol (William) Dreikosen, Dennis (Cathy) all of Campbellsport and Dale (Paula) of Fond du Lac, 23 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, one great great grandson, his sister Mary (Steve) Rahn of Kewaskum, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his brothers Ray, George and Al and his sisters Paula Fleischman and Betty Jacak. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wed. June 24th at 6:00 PM at St. Martin’s Catholic Church, Ashford (N1271 Minnie Ln. Campbellsport). Rev. Neil Zinthefer will officiate and burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
