James E. Urban, 79, of Ashford passed away Sunday Sept. 6, 2009 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac. He was born in Campbellsport on Aug. 10, 1930 the son of Al and Ester (nee Vande Zande) Urban. On June 27, 1959, he married Shirley Fleischman at St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Ashford. Jim served in the U.S. Army from 1948 to 1952 during the Korean War. He worked at Regalware in Kewaskum for 46 years until retiring. Jim and Shirley have owned and operated Urban’s Grocery in Ashford for many years. He was a member of the Bintzler-Waehler American Legion Post #347 in Lomira and the Campbellsport VFW Post #8339. In his younger years Jim enjoyed horses and horseback riding. He greatly enjoyed fishing, his new boat, hunting and listening to music especially country and polkas. Survivors include his wife Shirley, his children Jamie of Ripon, Joel (Nadine) of Campbellsport, Jeff (Kay) of Fond du Lac, Julaine (Joe) Wilson of Iron Ridge, Jody (Louie) Schmidt of Kaukauna, Jude (Michelle) of Eden and Jason (fiancée Rochelle), his grandchildren, Justin, Jessie, Melissa, Jake, Jennifer, Megan, Mallory, Jacob, Molly, Travis, Taylor, Dylan, Devyn, Devan, Colton and Kaylie, his great grandchildren Izayah and Hannah, his brothers Dick of King, Bob (Barb) of Fond du Lac and Terry (Mary) of Campbellsport, his sisters Jane Cordy of New Berlin and JoAnn Thill of Beloit, his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Tom and Carol Fleischman, Lenny and Kay Fleischman, Sandy Doyle, Dick and Sheila Stahl, Paul and Sherry Koch all of Campbellsport, Larry and Mary Fleischman of Lomira, Sue and Bob Schunk of Hubertus and Shelly and Rick Goebel of Dotyville, many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Al and Ester Urban, his uncle and aunt Joe and Lila Straub, father-in-law and mother-in-law John and Paula Fleischman, his sister-in-law Arlene Urban and his brothers-in-law Ralph Thill, Neil Cordy, Edward Fleischman, Richard Fleischman and Chuck Doyle. Funeral services will be held on Wed. Sept. 9th at 6:00 PM with Military Rites to follow at the Twohig Funeral Home 109 W. Main St. Campbellsport. Rev.
