Edwin F. Weiss, Jr., 77, of Campbellsport passed away Thursday Sept. 24, 2009 at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac. He was born on April 28, 1932 the son of the late Edwin and Margaret (nee Wenninger) Weiss, Sr. On July 3, 1954 he married Gloria D. Rucks at St. Lawrence. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Ed was a siding contractor in the West Bend area for over 40 years. He was a member of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Campbellsport, a former member of Holy Angels Catholic Church in West Bend and a member of the American Legion Post # 36 in West Bend. Ed enjoyed woodworking especially building deer models from tree branches, fishing, antique cars and horses but most of all spending time with his daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include his wife Gloria, his daughters Sharon (Paul) Wienke of Campbellsport, Brenda (Terry) Plunger of West Bend, Donna (Michael) Martin of Sheboygan and Dawn (Gregg) Jashinsky of West Bend, his grandchildren Rashelle, Jason, Jeremy, Michael, Nick, Sean, Robert, Andrea, James, Kelsey, Tyler, Abigail and Logan, his great grandchildren Caleb, Owen and Cameron, his sisters Mary (Walter) Peters of West Bend, Sister Dorothy Weiss, SSSF of Campbellsport and Helen (Stanley) Mueller of Hartford, his brother Anthony (Kathryn) Weiss of Allenton, his sister-in-law Dorothy Weiss of Hartford, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his son Gerald Raymond, his brother Wilbert Weiss and his sister Sister Lucille Weiss, SSSF. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday Sept. 28 at 7:00 PM St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Campbellsport. Rev. Neil Zinthefer will officiate and burial will be Tuesday at 10:30 AM at Holy Angels Cemetery in West Bend. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 PM until time of mass at the church.
