Richard “Rick” Day, 52 of North Fond du Lac passed away Wed. Sept. 30, 2009 surrounded by his family at his home. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on Sept. 19, 1957 the son of Fred and Barbara Johanneson Day, Jr. He graduated from High School in North Carolina and served his country in the U.S. Army with the 406th General Supply Comp and the 20th and the 63rd Engineer Brigade at Fort Bragg. On Oct. 14, 2006 he married Anita M. Langolf in North Fond du Lac. Rick worked at Action Printing in Fond du Lac and also as an EMT in Colorado. Knowledge was very important to Rick as he was always continuing his education. Rick was very patriotic, enjoyed the outdoors and traveling. He had a great passion for life and lived it to the fullest. Survivors include his wife Anita, his step children Devin, Star, Joshua and Jenna, his grandchildren Hunter, Javin, Anisty, Darrian and Star Unique, his father-in-law Earl Meyer, his mother-in-law Ada Baeckmann, his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Cheryl and Dean Larson, Earl and Christine Meyer, Jr., Michael and Linda Meyer, Kenneth Meyer and Dawn Meyer, and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Fred Day Jr., his step father-in-law Roger Baeckmann and his brother-in-law Theodore Meyer. Memorial Services will be Sunday Oct. 4, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Twohig Funeral Home at 305 Fond du Lac Avenue in Fond du Lac with the Rev. Jennifer Dawson officiating.
