Ervin A. Roehl, 104, formerly of the Town of Osceola passed away Tuesday Nov. 10, 2009 at Grancare Nursing and Rehab Center in Fond du Lac where he has been a resident. He was born in the Town of Osceola on Sept. 13, 1905 the son of the late Edward and Emma Salzwadel Roehl. On March 7, 1929, he married Leona A. Hornburg in Waucousta. Leona preceded him in death on Dec. 16, 2001. They lived and farmed in the Town of Osceola and were members of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Dundee. Ervin was a member of the Osceola Town Board, serving as chairman and as supervisor for 37 years. He was on the Fond du Lac County Board for 24 years and a member of the Fond du Lac County Agricultural Society for 20 years. Survivors include his sons Lawrence (Charlotte) of Campbellsport and Ronald (Eunice) of Eau Claire, ten grandchildren, twenty five great grandchildren, twenty great great grandchildren, his brother-in-law Richard Hornburg, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Along with his wife Leona, he was preceded in death by his son Robert and Robert’s wife Jeanette and his sister Amanda Buslaff. Funeral services will be held on Friday Nov. 13 at 12:30 PM at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Dundee. Rev. Richard Schliewe will officiate and burial will follow in Ledgeview Memorial Park, Fond du Lac. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 AM until time of service at the church.
