Donald Lavrenz, 65, of Fond du Lac passed away Tuesday Nov. 17, 2009. He was born in Campbellsport on July 2, 1944 the son of the late Gustav A. F. and Gertrude Dickmann Lavrenz. On Sept. 4, 1962 he married Viola “Bunny” Leu in St. Louis. She preceded him in death on June 28, 1999. Donald owned and operated Champion Motors. He loved to golf, work on old cars, and always looked to invent new things. Loving father of Donald Jr. (Dennise) Lavrenz of Waukesha, and proud Papa of Donny “Buddy” Lavrenz III a student at UW Madison. Further survived by his fiancé Jeryl Mathwig of Fond du Lac, 4 brothers: Raymond of West Bend, Darwin (Donna) Lavrenz of Fond du Lac, Spence Lavrenz of Campbellsport and Clayton (Sandy) Lavrenz of Beloit, 4 sisters: Joyce (James) Clark, Bernice (Ken) Bastian both of West Bend, Evelyn (Louie) Gatzke of Kewaskum and Beatrice Wentz of Ocala, FL many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Bunny, and two brothers: Delbert and Kenneth. Funeral Services will be held Monday Nov. 23 at 3:00 PM at the Twohig Funeral Home 305 Fond du Lac, WI with burial in the Auburn Cemetery.
