Meldon Denise Davis was born on June 11, 1959 in Vicksburg, MS to Fannie and the late Robert Cary. She was also preceded in death by her husband Willie Davis and two brothers Robert James Carey and Robert Earl Carey and two aunts Ruby Jean Jones and LuBertha Broomfield. Meldon confessed to Christ at an early age. She was baptized at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Louise, MS. In 1981 she married Willie Davis and from that union was three children: Frederic Cary, Lucretia Cary and Patrina Davis. In 1999 Meldon moved to Fond du Lac in search of a better way of life. On Saturday December 5, 2009 at 5:34 AM God called her home. She leaves to cherish her memories: her loving husband Daniel; daughters: Lucretia Cary (Antonio) and Patrina Davis; sons: Frederic Cary (Sarah) and Antonio Oliver (Shawna); mother Fannie; grandchildren: Tykeyviar, Tiariel, Avery, Tioncia, Tazyiah, Tajae and TaZarrianna; sisters: Flossie (Johnny), Alma (George), Minnie, Martha (Wardell) and Christy (Paul); brothers: Robert Lee (Pricilla) Eddie (Doris) and Ben and aunts: Betty Lou Jenkins and Mary Jane Williams. Visitation will be Thursday Dec. 10 from 4 to 8 PM at the Twohig Funeral Home 305 Fond du Lac Ave. Fond du Lac, WI 54935. Services will be Friday Dec. 11, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Salvation Army Chapel 237 N. Macy St. Fond du Lac. Bishop Dr. H. D. Haywood will officiate and burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Fond du Lac. Twohig Funeral Home is serving the family.
