Harold Edward Kovalaske

November 24, 1924 — December 27, 2009

Harold E. “Cub” Kovalaske, 85, of Eden went to his heavenly home Sunday Dec. 27, 2009 with his family gathered around him at his home. He was born on Nov. 24, 1924 in Green Lake the son of Gustave and Martha Klettke Kovalaske. On June 21, 1947 he married Betty J. Ehrenberg at Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon. He worked at the Ripon Commonwealth Press for 31 years and then operated Green Acres Supper Club for 16 years until retiring. He was a member of Immanuel Trinity Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac and a former member of Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon where he served on the church council and taught Sunday School. Harold was a Barber Shopper all his adult life and enjoyed upholstering, fishing, gardening and swimming. But most of all he loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include his wife Betty, his daughters Judy Kovalaske of Riverview, FL and Vicki Page of Eden, his son Mark (Susan) Kovalaske of Ridgway, CO, his grandchildren Erica (Leif) Vogel, Freya (Richard) O’Brien, Mindy (Kyle) Gellings, Dawn (Chad) Kempf, Heidi (Mike) Fideler, Tyler (fiancée Danielle) Page, Brittney (Chris) Kor, his great grandchildren Spencer and Trenton Vogel, Aubrey O’Brien, Hunter and Mason Gellings, Vann and Brinn Kempf, Sadie and Jaxon Fideler, Harper Page, and Aden and Logan Kor, his sister Leona Wegner of Post Lake, his brother-in-law Thad Ehrenberg of Markesan, his sister-in-law Elaine Ehrenberg of Ripon, many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Norman, a grandson Jedadiah Kovalaske and a great grandson Conner O’Brien. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 AM until time of service at the church Funeral services will be Saturday Jan. 2, 2010 at 12:00 Noon at Immanuel Trinity Lutheran Church, 210 Wisconsin American Dr. Fond du Lac. Rev David Pavesic. Burial will be Sunday Jan. 3 in Green Lake Center Cemetery at 1:30 PM. Twohig Funeral Home, Campbellsport, is serving the family.
