Pearl Lilla Buslaff

February 8, 1917 — March 21, 2010

Pearl Lilla Buslaff, 93, of Campbellsport passed away Sunday March 21, 2010 at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac. She was born in Milbank, SD on February 8, 1917 the daughter of the late Oscar and Lilla Koepke Damerow. Pearl graduated from Milbank High School. On Feb. 23, 1946, she married Walter Buslaff at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Campbellsport. Pearl was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church in Campbellsport, along with the Campbellsport Senior Citizens. She also volunteered for the Fond du Lac County Meals Program. In her free time she liked sewing, making patchwork quilts and playing cards. She enjoyed watching and cheering on the Milwaukee Brewers and the Green Bay Packers. But most of all she loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and giving them special treats. After high school she was employed as a telephone operator in Minneapolis, MN. She was then employed at Regalware and the Amerahn in Kewaskum. She was also employed at Reliable Knitting in Campbellsport. Pearl is survived by her daughter Carol (Bruce) Soyk of Campbellsport, her son David (Maureen) Buslaff of Campbellsport, her sister Frances Cornelisen of Hamilton, MT, her grandchildren Sherrie (Shawn) Schelvan of Wausaukee, Michelle (Kevin) Carey, Stacey (Robert) Grohall both of Campbellsport, Michael (Ellie) Soyk of Fond du Lac, Cory Buslaff of Oshkosh and Sarah (spec. friend Craig) Buslaff of Campbellsport, her great granddaughter Alex Soyk, her great grandsons Zachary Carey, Lucas and Devin Grohall and Dylan Soyk, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter on Jan. 17, 1998, her grandson Aaron Buslaff, her great grandson Jackson Soyk, her brothers her twin Ralph, Harold and Milton, her brother-in-law Howard, her sisters-in-law Jean, Fern and Jane and other in-laws Harold and Ester Buslaff, Edmund and Emma Buslaff and Martha and Joseph Volz. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday March 24, 2010 at 7:00 PM at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Campbellsport. Rev. Neil Zinthefer will officiate and burial will be Thursday in St. Matthew’s Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday March 24th from 4:00 PM until time of mass at the church.
