Harold Francis Straub

Harold Straub, 79, of Campbellsport passed away Saturday March 27th 2010 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born April 13, 1930 to Andrew and Elizabeth (Liebel) Straub in the Town of Ashford. On July 7, 1956 he was united in marriage to Nancy Suckow in Campbellsport. Harold served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1951 to 1953, stationed in Germany. He was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church in Campbellsport. He was employed at the West Bend Company for 50 years and was a member of the 25 Year Club. Harold also did carpentry work, building and remodeling several homes in Campbellsport. He enjoyed spending his free time with his family and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by Nancy, his loving wife of 53 years, his children Bonnie (Dale) Amerling, Tammie (Mike) Lindsley, and Don (special friend Pam Perkins) Straub all of Campbellsport, his grandchildren Kevin (Maureen) Amerling, Lisa (special friend Mark Bong) Amerling, Kari Amerling, Brandon Straub, and Larisa and Laci Lindsley, and his great grandson Owen Bong. He is also survived by his brother Henry (Betty) Straub, and his sister Kathryn Krueger both of Campbellsport, his sister-in-law Mary Becker of West Bend and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson Danny, a brother Albert, brothers-in-law Allan Krueger and Allen “Buddy” Becker, and sisters-in-law Sally Straub and Betty Liates. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday March 30th at 7:00 PM at the Twohig Funeral Home 109 W. Main St. Campbellsport. Chaplain Dave Stone will officiate and entombment will be Wednesday at Ledgeview Memorial Park in Fond du Lac. Visitation will be Tuesday March 30th from 4:00 PM until time of service at the funeral home. Memorials are appreciated To Campbellsport Hunters Safety or the Cedar Community Foundation.
