Sister Florence McMahan, SSSF, “Sister Ethelinde”, 92 passed away Wed. April 6, 2010 at St. Joseph Convent, Campbellsport. She was born on Aug. 3, 1917 in Bowman, South Dakota the daughter of the late John S. and Theresa Ring McMahan. Sister joined the School Sisters of St. Francis on June 13, 1934 and professed her vows on Aug. 19, 1936. Sister served her community as a teacher at various community missions. Sister Florence is survived by her sister Rita Underhill, nieces, nephews, other relatives and the School Sisters of St. Francis Community with whom she shared her life for 76 years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday April 9, 2010 at 1:30 PM at St. Joseph Convent, 526 Mill St. Campbellsport. Burial will follow in Sisters Cemetery Campbellsport.
