Mildred M. Feuerhammer

August 16, 1917 — May 20, 2010

Mildred Feuerhammer, age 92, was called to her heavenly home on Thursday May 20, 2010 at the St. Francis Home in Fond du Lac. She was born in Milwaukee on Aug. 16, 1917 the daughter of Louis and Meta Rathmann Windler. On July 6, 1935, she married Elmer Feuerhammer at the Reformed Church in Campbellsport. Elmer preceded her in death on Aug. 1, 2008. Mildred worked for the West Bend Door Company and West Bend Aluminum Company. She then quit to her job to help her husband on the farm they bought from his parents in the Town of Ashford. After farming, they bought a tavern in Elmore and operated Elmer & Millie’s Tap for twenty years. She was the official scorekeeper for all the baseball teams they sponsored. She loved the Brewers and playing cards with her family, but her greatest joy was crocheting doilies of all shapes and sizes for her family and friends. Survivors include her two children Donald and Beverly (Gerald) Ramthun, three grandchildren, David (Debbie) Ramthun, Thomas (Kathy) Ramthun, Barb (Steve) Klumpyan, six great grandchildren, Tracy (Scott) Mann, Michael (Stef) Ramthun, Travis Ramthun, Tami Ramthun, Mindy (fiancée Cody Immel) Klumpyan and Justin Klumpyan and three great great grandchildren Brady, Kylie and Jayden. Also survived by her sister Betty (Henry) Straub, her sister-in-law Marilyn Feuerhammer, her cat Sweet Pea, other relatives and friends. She also was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters Ethel and Florence, her brothers-in-law Lester Hammen and Vernon Feuerhammer and her nephews Lester Hammen, Jr. and Steve Feuerhammer. Funeral services will be held on Saturday May 22, 2010 at 3:00 PM at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, Dundee (W494 Elm St. Campbellsport). Rev. Richard Schliewe will officiate and burial will follow in Elmore Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 1:00 PM until time of services at the church.
