Jean R. Whitty, 74, formerly of Campbellsport passed away at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home with her family at her side on Tuesday June 15, 2010. She was born on Nov. 11, 1935 in the Town of Eden the daughter of the late Leo and Rose (Clark) Ryan. She was a 1953 graduate of Campbellsport High School. On Oct. 2, 1954 Jean married Wayne Whitty at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Eden. Wayne preceded her in death on Dec. 15, 1981. Jean was a long time cashier at Guenther’s Grocery and Straub’s Piggly Wiggly in Campbellsport and was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church in Campbellsport. Survivors include her children Mary (Peter) Beyer of Mt. Calvary and Patrick (Cathy) Whitty of Cleveland, her grandchildren Stephanie Beyer, Alyssa Beyer, Caitlain Whitty and Tyler Whitty, her sister Mary Theisen, her brother-in-law Irwin Whitty, her sister-in-law Lorraine Ryan, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Along with her husband, Jean was preceded in death by her brothers Vincent Ryan and Lester Ryan, her sister Joyce Ryan, her brothers-in-law Thomas Theisen and William Whitty and her sister-in-law Mary Ellen Whitty Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday June 18th at 7:00 PM at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Campbellsport. Rev. Neil Zinthefer will officiate and burial will be Sat. at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Eden. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 PM until time of mass at the church.
