Robert James Bruckert

September 19, 1945 — June 21, 2010

Robert J. Bruckert, 64, of Pearson, WI and formerly of Kewaskum and Nenno areas died with his family by his side on June 21, 2010 at the VA Hospital in Madison from kidney and heart disease. Bob was born on Sept. 19, 1945 in Fond du Lac to Marion Bruckert Krieser. In his teen years he helped his grandparents on their farm in Nenno. It was there that he became very close with Ginny Feucht and her family; friendships that are strong to this very day. In Oct. 1963 Bob joined the U.S. Navy. He was stationed out of Long Beach, CA serving as a Seaman 2nd Class testing torpedoes. He was honorably discharged in 1967. On Nov. 4, 1972, Bob and Jocelyn Fellenz were married at the Peace United Church of Christ in Kewaskum. On Dec. 3, 1973 their first daughter Kristen was born. On April 7, 1975 their second daughter April was born. In 1994 Bob was blessed with his first grandson, Jesse. In 1998 his “princess” Nolee arrived and in 2003 his namesake Robert was born. Bob spent many hours teaching the grandsons to fish and letting Nolee fix his hair to any style she wanted. Bob was an over the road truck driver until 2000. He drove medical transport until 2004, retiring due to medical reasons. Bob loved to hunt, fish, 4 wheeling and play the annual Christmas sheephead game. He was a devoted son, husband, father, brother and Buppa. Bob is survived by his wife of 37 years Jocelyn, his daughter Kristen (Kevin) Drewry of Fond du Lac, his daughter April of Elmore, his grandchildren Jesse, Nolee and Robert Drewry and his loyal companion Sammy. He is further survived by his mother Marion of Campbellsport, his brothers Fritz (Kathy) Krieser, Ken (Rogene) Krieser, Tom (Marianne) Krieser, Daniel Krieser, his sister Kathleen (Ringo) Mielke, many nieces, nephews and aunts. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Shirley Fellenz and sisters-in-law Karen Fellenz, Kathe (Tom) Streveler and Tracy (Bruce) Boettcher. Bob was fortunate to have some lifelong friends. They include the Feucht family, Don and Char Waite, Paul Kearney, Jimmy Fellenz and family, John Warnecke and family, Tom Griep, Tim Gruel, Mike and Doug Feucht and others we may have forgotten. He was preceded in death by his step father Ken Krieser, his maternal grandparents Frank and Emma Bruckert, his father-in-law Leander Fellenz, his godson Jason Warnecke, a special little buddy BJ Fickler and other friends and family. You’re right Dad---It’s hard to be humble when you are PERFECT in every way. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Funeral services will be Friday June 25th at the Twohig Funeral Home 109 W. Main St. Campbellsport at 8:00 PM with military rites to follow. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 PM until time of services at the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the family or the VA Hospital in Madison Guestbook and online condolences at www.twohigfunerals.com. The family extends a special thank you to everyone for their care and concern. We would especially like to thank the SICU staff at the VA in Madison. They fought as hard as he did.
