Jerome F. Kohlmann

April 5, 1926 — June 23, 2010

Jerome F. Kohlmann, 84, of Fond du Lac went to his heavenly home on June 23rd with his beloved family gathered with him at his home. He was born on April 5, 1926 the son of the late Albert M. and Rosalia Mehler Kohlmann. He served his country in the United States Navy in World War II. On Aug. 16, 1947, Jerry married Marjorie Murphy at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Fond du Lac. Marjorie preceded him in death on Oct. 18, 2001. Jerry was an electrician at Reliance Electric in Milwaukee until he retired. He was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church and the Bereavement Ministers and the Choir, the Knights of Columbus and the Fond du Lac Eagles. Jerry enjoyed golfing, watching the Chicago Cubs games and fishing. Survivors include his children Gary (Cindy) of Genesse, Michael (Sandra) of Tucson, AZ, David (Jane) of Cedarburg, Barbara (Pete) Dereszynski of Sussex, Patricia (Richard) Lopez of Brookfield, Kathleen (David) Reeder of Germantown and Theresa Dahlke of Germantown, 27 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 2 brothers Francis Kohlmann of Glenbulah and Andrew (Joan) Kohlmann of North Fond du Lac, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, one grandson James Matthew Kohlmann and two great granddaughters, 2 brothers: Anthony and Walter and 1 sister Josephine Hartman. . A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday June 28, 2010 at Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church W1562 Hwy B Eden, Rev. Joseph Juknialis will officiate and entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Fond du Lac. Military rites to be provided by the Trier Puddy American Legions Post #75. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM with Prayer Service at 7:30 PM on Sunday June 27, 2010 at the Twohig Funeral Home 305 Fond du Lac Avenue Fond du Lac and Monday at the church from 9:30 to time of mass.
