Sister Angiola Stickelmaier

Sister Angiola Stickelmaier, SSSF, 88, passed away Thursday July 8, 2010 at St. Joseph Convent in Campbellsport. She was born on July 22, 1921 in Metamora, IL the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Mayer Stickelmaier. She joined the School Sisters of St. Francis on June 13, 1938 and professed her vows on Aug. 12, 1940. Sister received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Alverno College in 1943 and a Master of Art degree from Notre Dame University in 1960. Sister served her community as a teacher and then as Director of the Health Care Office. Sister Angiola is survived by her brother Gilbert Stickelmaier of Oxnard, CA and her sister Elizabeth Mernick of Scottsdale, AZ. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and the School Sisters of St. Francis Community with whom she shared her life for 72 years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday July 13, 2010 at 1:30 PM at St. Joseph Convent, 526 Mill St. Campbellsport. Burial will follow in Sisters Cemetery, Campbellsport. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00 AM until time of Mass at St. Joseph Convent. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the School Sisters of St. Francis are appreciated. www.twohigfunerals.com
