Barbara L. Bieniewski-King, age 72, of Fond du Lac died Monday July 12, 2010 at home. She was born December 17, 1937 in West Allis, the daughter of the late Anthony and Marvel Flowers Bieniewski. Barbara loved her family, sunshine, rummage sales, good coffee, writing, socializing, fashion, proper language, eyeliner, the color red, tunes on the radio, art, good posture, the 4th Street Stop ‘n Shop, naps, cottage cheese and potato chips, the British royal family, talking on the phone, and of course - Joe Namath. She taught her children to be independent, strong minded, and tenacious. She knew what she wanted in life, she had vision, and she never gave up on her dreams. Survivors include her life companion Richard J. King of Fond du Lac currently residing at Parkview Health Center in Oshkosh, one son Robert A. Korth of Oshkosh, 3 daughters Pamela A. (Scott) Hempel of Presque Isle, Heidi Zimmerman of Rosendale and Jessica J. King of Oshkosh, 7 grandchildren: Melonie A. Leu of Oshkosh, Nicole (Jonathan) Schubert of Rosendale, Amanda Zimmerman of Marietta, GA, Carmen Zimmerman of Rosendale, Kelly Zimmerman of Rosendale, Deirdre and David Bresser of Brandon, 2 great grandchildren: Theodore and Joseph Schubert, one brother Robert W. Bieniewski (Patricia R. Manthe) of Fond du Lac, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be held Friday July 16, 2010 at 11:00 with the Rev. Tom Willadsen officiating at the Twohig Funeral Home at 305 Fond du Lac Avenue in Fond du Lac. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Fond du Lac Chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), Friendship Corner are appreciated. Burial will take place at the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Eden.
