Roland Phillip Baumann

Roland P. Baumann, 92, of Campbellsport passed away Monday Nov. 29, 2010 at Manor Care in Fond du Lac. He was born on September 13, 1918 in the Town of Osceola, a son of William and Minnie Plautz Baumann. Roland graduated from Dundee Grade School in 1933. On May 16, 1953 he married Agnes Hall at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Campbellsport. They lived on the same farm since they were married. Roland’s passion was farming which he did all his life. He was a member of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, Campbellsport and was a charter member of the National Farmer’s Organization. Roland enjoyed picking hickory nuts, watching the Brewers and family gatherings. Survivors include his wife Agnes, his daughter Barb (Steve) Baus of Armstrong, his son Paul of Campbellsport, his daughter-in-law Dianne Baumann of Campbellsport, his grandchildren Bill (spec. friend Mandy Duchow) Baus and Andy (Brooke) Baus of Fond du Lac, Nicole (Matt) Nysse of Madison, his step granddaughters Danielle (fiancé Cory Abraham) Menghe of Fond du Lac and Deanna Menghe of Oshkosh, his sister Esther Fiebig of Fond du Lac, his brother Allan (Lorraine) Bauman of Fond du Lac, his sisters-in-law and brother-in-law June Hall, Loni Hall, Elaine Hall all of Campbellsport and Marie and Dave Duley of Fond du Lac, nieces, nephews, other relatives, many friends and the family dog Bandit. Preceding him in death were his parents, his son Phillip, his sister Helen Torti and his brothers Bill, Art and Gib Baumann. Visitation will be Friday Dec. 3rd from 4:00 PM until time of mass at the St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, Campbellsport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday Dec. 3rd at 7:30 PM at St. Mattthew’s Catholic Church in Campbellsport. Rev. Neil Zinthefer will officiate and Entombment will be Saturday at the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum in Ledgeview Memorial Park, Fond du Lac.
