Arthur C. Perket, Jr. went peacefully to be with the Lord on January 15, 2011. He was born on January 3, 1923, in Spaulding, Mich. to Edna (Lindberg) and Arthur Perket, Sr. Art married Shirley Meunier on October 23, 1948, and to this union two children were born: Michele and Stephen. Shirley went to be with the Lord on July 29, 1980. Art married Grace Stillman on January 1, 1986. Art was a teacher/principal in Suamico, Wis. until he went into YMCA work full time in Green Bay, Sheboygan and then Marinette/Menominee YMCA along with Plano, Ill. before retiring. After retirement, Art and Grace enjoyed a wonderful local music ministry together. Art was always quick with a smile, a song, a dance, loved a good game and was his children/grandchildren's biggest fan. Fond and loving memories of Dad and "Gramps" will be cherished forever. Art is survived by his wife, Grace, Luther Home, Marinette; daughter, Michele (Mark) Harlow, Rapid City, S.D.; grandchildren: Danielle (Eric) Bigge, Katie (Eric) Barker, Greg and Bethany Harlow; great-granddaughters: Reese Barker and Leighton Bigge; son, Stephen, Marinette; grandchildren: Joshua, Amber and Haley, great-grandson, Brayden and great-granddaughter, Ariel; step-children: Gailee Stillman, Milwaukee; Jim (Sheila) Stillman, Marinette, Jeff and Jeana; Jean (Chris) Brown, Riverton, Wyo. and Peter; Steve (Roxie) Stillman, Austin, Texas, Grace and Joshua; a brother, John Jerome (Elinor) Perket, Marinette. Besides his parents and first wife, he was preceded in death by sister, Jeanette; niece, Sharrie Perket and granddaughter, Shelly Stillman. Family and friends may call at Our savior's lutheran church, Marinette, on Thursday, January 20, at 9 a.m., memorial service will follow at 10 a.m. with Pastor James Wendt officiating.
