Goldie Velma Baganz

March 22, 1921 — February 27, 2011

Goldie V. Baganz, 89, of the Town of Forest, went peacefully to her heavenly home surrounded by her beloved family Sunday Feb. 27, 2011 at Grancare Nursing and Rehab Center in Fond du Lac where she has been a resident the past five years. She was born March 22, 1921 in Jackson, the daughter of the late Henry and Violet Shaw Paulin. On July 12, 1947 she married Arnold Baganz at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Parsonage in the Town of Forest. They farmed together in the Town of Forest until 1959. Goldie also worked at Infant Socks, Glen Mfg., Tolibia Cheese and Mercury Marine. She was a member of St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Town of Forest, and a longtime member and director of the Forest Sportman’s Club. She was a teacher’s Aid at St. Paul’s School and an officer in AAL. She loved to dance and yodel and was the family seamstress. Goldie was a wonderful mother and grandmother; babysitting many grandchildren and was always there to help family and friends. Survivors include her children Dwight (Carol) Paulin of Fond du Lac, Arnold A. (Susan) Baganz of Mt. Calvary and Janice (John) Kloetzke of Mt. Calvary, her grandchildren Brian Paulin, Julie (Mike) Andrew, Scott Paulin, Angela (Adam) Goldsmith, Cheryl (Chuck) Culver, Christine Baganz, James Kloetzke, Wesley Baganz, Jeremy Baganz and Joy Baganz, her great grandchildren Megan Andrew and Tyler Andrew, her sisters-in-law Mildred Krug and Lillian Baganz, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Arnold on July 10, 1992, her sisters Elsie (Carl) Siedschlag, Lila Mc Cauley and Virginia (Ervin) Ringhand, her brothers Alvin Paulin and Arthur Paulin, an infant brother and sister and her in-laws Freida and Louis Seibel, Arthur Baganz, Florence and Merlin Hodorff and Robert Krug. Funeral services will be held on Friday March 4th at 2:00 PM at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church, N6680 County Rd. W, Mt Calvary. Rev. Mark Barenz will officiate and entombment will follow in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum at Ledgeview Memorial Park, Fond du Lac. Visitation will be Thursday March 3rd from 4 to 8 PM at the Twohig Funeral Home, 305 Fond du Lac Ave. Fond du Lac and on Friday March 4th from Noon until time of services at the church.
