Robert M. Bunge, 92, of Fond du Lac died Mar. 25, 2011 at St. Francis Home. He was born on June 15, 1918 in Town of Rhine, Sheboygan County, WI, the son of the late Rudolph and Mary Kiser Bunge. He married Lydia E. Theobold in 1943 at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Kiel. She preceded him in death on Mar. 7, 1999. Robert was a machinist at Stoelting in Kiel for 33 years, retiring in 1983. Robert enjoyed woodworking in his retirement. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Community. Survivors include his two daughters: Lois Bunge and Kathleen Bunge both of Fond du Lac, three sons: Gene (Barbara) of Milwaukee, James (Lynda) of Appleton and Kenneth of Milwaukee, four grandchildren: Lisa (Bryce) Loftus of Cedar Rapids, IA, Michael Bunge of Appleton, Kyle Bunge of Milwaukee and Kayla (fiancée Christopher Heimerman) Bunge, one great grandson Bennett Loftus and one sister Ruth Klemme of Plymouth, one sister-in-law Elvera Bunge of Sheboygan Falls, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Lydia, five sisters and five brothers. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday Mar. 28, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church, at 271 Fourth Street Way in Fond du Lac with burial at St. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Kiel. Friends may call at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of the service. Memorials appreciated to the Holy Family Catholic Church or St. Francis Home.
