Robert E. Verette, 80, of Campbellsport passed away Thursday March 31, 2011 at Harbor Haven Health and Rehab Center in Fond du Lac. He was born on March 24, 1931 the son of the late Earl and Mae Verette. On Dec. 31, 1955, he married Mary Loraine Dutcher in Wautoma. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Robert worked as a union carpenter in the Milwaukee area for 30 years until retiring. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling with his brother but most of all he loved to spend time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include his son Earl (Rosalee) Verette of Wisconsin Dells, his daughter Marilyn (Darold) Buslaff of Campbellsport, his grandchildren Lee (Kim) Buslaff, Michael (Sara) Buslaff, Rebecca (Travis) Rosine, Jeff Verette and Michelle (fiancée Perry) Buslaff, his great grandchildren Hannah, Destiny, Zachary, Kayden, Teegan and Stella, his brother John Verette, his sister Earlmae Morkin, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceding him in death were his wife Mary on Feb. 7, 1993, his sisters Audrey and Marlene, his sister-in-law Joyce and his brothers-in-law Elmer, Eddie and Jim. Visitation will be Sunday April 3, 2011 from 2:00 PM until time of mass at the St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, Campbellsport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Sunday April 3rd at 4:00 PM at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Campbellsport. Rev. Neil Zinthefer will officiate and entombment will be Monday at Ledgeview Memorial Park, Fond du Lac. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Cancer Research.
