Sister Martha Brester, SSSF, “Sister Bavo", 88, passed away Friday April 1, 2011 at St. Joseph Convent in Campbellsport. She was born on April 27, 1922 in Howells, NE, the daughter of the late Louis and Mary Kriemert Brester. Sister joined the School Sisters of St. Francis on June 13, 1938 and professed her vows on Aug. 12, 1940. Sister served her community as a homemaker at various community missions. Sister Martha is survived by her brothers John Brester and Leander Brester both of Howells, NE, other relatives and the School Sisters of St. Francis Community with whom she shared her life for 73 years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday April 5, 2011 at 1:30 PM at St. Joseph Convent, 526 Mill St. Campbellsport. Burial will follow in Sisters Cemetery, Campbellsport.
