Oscar Alfred Hahn

November 6, 1922 — April 3, 2011

Oscar Hahn, 89, a resident of Woodlands Senior Park formerly of Campbellsport passed away Sunday April 3, 2011 at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac. He was born in Campbellsport on Nov. 6, 1921, the son of the late Peter and Celia Raidy Hahn. On April 14, 1948, he married Kathryn A. Thompson at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Eden. They farmed together in the Town of Auburn. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp during WWII in China. Oscar was a member of the Campbellsport American Legion Post #222 for over 60 years, the Campbellsport Senior Citizens and Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Kewaskum. He also sang in the St. Matthew’s Church choir for over 55years and with the Inkspots Barber Shop Quartet and was an avid Packer fan. Survivors include his sons Phillip, Mark (Maxine), David (Eileen) and Dennis (Candy) all of Campbellsport, his daughter Ann (Terry) Battistine of Fond du Lac, his grandchildren Greg (Sandy), Colleen, Lynn (Joe), Brian (Melissa), Jennifer and Sara, his great grandchildren Josh and Jacob, his brother-in-law Leonard Goebel, his sister-in-law Frances Casetta, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Kathryn on July14, 2001, his son John, his daughter-in-law Mary, his brothers Joseph, Jerome and Louis and his sisters Clara Hahn, Irene Hahn and Catherine Strassburg. Visitation will be Wed. April 6th from 4:00 PM until time of mass at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Kewaskum. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wed. April 6, 2011 at 7:00 PM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum. Rev. Edwin Kornath will officiate and burial will be Thursday in St. Matthew’s Cemetery, Campbellsport. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Diabetes Foundation or to the St. Mathias Renovation Fund.
