Sister Marie Therese Kluthe, SSSF, “Sister Wanda”, 91, passed away Sunday May 8, 2011 at St. Joseph Convent in Campbellsport. She was born on July 16, 1919 in Orlean, Nebraska, the daughter of the late Conrad and Anna Ulrich Kluthe, Sr. She joined the School Sisters of St. Francis Community on June 13, 1945 and professed her vows on August 12, 1937. Sister Marie Therese served her community as an elementary school teacher and principal at various community missions. Sister Marie Therese is survived by her sister Elizabeth Ernesti of Dodge, Nebraska, her nieces Sister Bernice Gall, SSSF and Sister Kathleen Kluthe, SSSF, other nieces and nephews and the School Sisters of St. Francis Community with whom she shared her life for 76 years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday May 12, 2011 at 1:30 PM at St. Joseph Convent, 526 Mill St. Campbellsport. Burial will follow in Sisters Cemetery, Campbellsport.
