Florence C. Emmer, 88, passed away Friday May 13, 2011 at the Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac. Florence was born on August 24, 1922 in Campbellsport the daughter of the late Mathias and Katherine (Schuh) Theisen. She graduated from Campbellsport High School in 1940. On January 11, 1947, she married Roman E. Emmer at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Campbellsport. The couple farmed and raised their children in St. Kilian and upon retirement moved to North Fond du Lac and were members of Holy Family Parish (St. Patrick’s Church). Survivors include two daughters Nancy (Bob) Campagna of Campbellsport and Karen (Andy) Schnitzler of Theresa and three grandchildren Carrie Campagna, Lori Campagna both of Campbellsport and AJay Schnitzler of Reeseville Survivors also include sisters-in-law Clarice Theisen of Campbellsport, Kathleen (Don) Gunderson of Lomira, Rosie (Lloyd) Westerman of Kewaskum and Valeria (Jim) Becker of Campbellsport, brothers-in-law Eddie Emmer of Lomira and Robert (Rosalie) of Fond du Lac, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Roman in 2001, her son James Lee Emmer in 1975, her granddaughter Kelly Schnitzler in 1997, her sisters Irene (Philip) Heinecke and Marcella (John) Ziegelbauer, her brothers Leo, Arthur (Marian) and Herman Theisen, her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Elizabeth Emmer, Clarence and Gert Emmer, Wilmer and Mae Emmer, Marvin Zehren and Frances Emmer. A private Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday May 17th at St. Kilian Catholic Church in St. Kilian. Rev. Neil Zinthefer officiated and burial followed in St. Kilian Cemetery.
