Alvin F. Vorderbruggen, 81, of Kewaskum passed away Friday June 17, 2011 at the Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac. He was born on December 15, 1929 in Bluffton, MN, the son of the late Paul and Martha Vorderbruggen. On June 19, 1958, he married Mary K. Whiting in Mahnomen, MN. Alvin worked at the West Bend Company for 36 years before retiring. He enjoyed gardening and was a wonderful craftsman and woodworker. Survivors include his daughter Lisa (Neal) Jurss of the Town of Farmington, his grandsons Kyle, Jeremiah and Nicholas, his brother Ivan (Mary) Vorderbruggen of the Town of Farmington, his sister Laurene (John ) Becker of Campbellsport, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary on March 11, 2004, his son Richard on December 5, 2008 and his brother Marvin. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday June 22, 2011 at 7:00 PM at the Twohig Funeral Home, 109 W. Main St. Campbellsport. Rev. Edwin Kornath will officiate. Cremation will follow with inurnment in St. Matthew’s Cemetery Cemetery, Campbellsport. Visitation will be Wednesday June 22nd from 5:30 PM until time of services at the funeral home.
