Sister Marion Hanson, SSSF, “Sister Lucina”, 86, passed away Tuesday July 5, 2011 at St. Joseph Convent in Campbellsport. She was born on April 14, 1925 in Northfield, MN the daughter of the late Hans and Marie Hilton Hanson. Sister joined the School Sisters of St. Francis Community on June 13, 1944 and professed her vows on June 21, 1946. Sister Marion served her community as a teacher at various community missions. Sister Marion is survived by her brothers Stanley (Bonnie) Hanson of Woodstock, MD and Jerome Hanson of Minneapolis, MN, nieces, nephews and the School Sisters of St. Francis Community with whom she shared her life for 67 years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday July 8, 2011 at 1:30 PM at St. Joseph Convent, 526 Mill St. Campbellsport. Burial will follow in Sisters Cemetery, Campbellsport.
