Henry W. Wilke, 96, formerly of the Town of Wayne passed away Thursday Sept. 22, 2011 at Hope Health & Rehab Center in Lomira. He was born in the Town of Ashford on April 5, 1915 the son of the late Charles and Mary (nee Beck) Wilke. On April 15, 1939, he married Evelyn Breseman at St. Lucas Lutheran Church in Kewaskum. Henry farmed in the Town of Wayne and then moved to another farm in the Town of Wayne where he bought, sold and boarded horses. He moved to West Bend for a short time before purchasing and moving to a farm near Gleason in 1973. Henry moved to the home in Lomira in 2009. He was a former member of Salem United Church of Christ in Wayne and later St. Lucas Lutheran Church in Kewaskum. Survivors include his children Charles (Kathleen) Wilke of Campbellsport, Vernette (Dan) Casey of Campbellsport, Irvin (Ericka) Wilke of Buckeye, AZ and Gerald Wilke of West Bend, eleven grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, his sister June Rose Lemke of Campbellsport, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn on May 29, 1974 and his sisters Nora Wiesner and Alice Coulter Schiller. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday Sept. 27th at 7:00 PM at the Twohig Funeral Home, 109 W. Main St. Campbellsport. Carol Marchant Ferber will officiate and burial will be Wednesday in Elmore Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday Sept. 27th from 4:00 PM until time of services at the funeral home.
