Sister Catherine Mary Schuit, SSSF, “Sister DeChantal”, 101, passed away Monday Sept. 26, 2011 at St. Joseph Convent, Campbellsport. Sister was born on August 4, 1910 in Blue Island, IL the daughter of the late Peter and Mary (nee Rinkel) Schuit. She joined the School Sisters of St. Francis on June 15, 1927 and professed her vows on August 23, 1933. She served her community as a teacher at various community missions. Sister Catherine Mary is survived by nieces, nephews and the School Sisters of St. Francis Community with whom she shared her life for 84 years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday Sept. 30, 2011 at 1:30 PM at St. Joseph Convent, 526 Mill St. Campbellsport. Burial will follow in Sisters Cemetery, Campbellsport.
