Dorothy A. O’Brien, 98, of Armstrong went to her heavenly home on Monday October 10, 2011 at the St. Francis Home in Fond du Lac. She was born Dec. 24, 1912 on the family farm in the Town of Osceola, the daughter of the late William and Rose (nee Rach) O’Brien. Dorothy was a graduate of St. Mary Springs Academy and worked with her brother George on the family farm. Later she was a care giver doing child care in the Armstrong area. She was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Angels-Shepherd of the Hills Parish and a member of Our Lady of Angels Altar Society and Shepherd of the Hills Rosary Club. Survivors include her special nephew and niece George (Mary Kay) O’Brien of Mequon and Cecelia Farnia of Brookfield, their children Doyle, Kelly and Colin O’Brien and David (Stephanie) and Sarah Farnia, other nieces and nephews, special friends the George and Joan Wettstein family, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death her siblings Mary (Leo) Flaherty, George (Marcella) O’Brien, Genevieve (Henry) Merjay, John (Ruth) O’Brien and Roseann (David) Twohig. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday Oct. 15th at 1:00 PM at Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church, W1562 County Rd. B, Eden. Rev. Joseph Juknialis will officiate and burial will follow in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Armstrong. Visitation will be Saturday Oct. 15th starting 11:00 AM and ending with a rosary at 12:45 PM at the church. Memorials are appreciated to Shepherd of the Hills Parish or Fr.
