86-year-old Beatrice May Goguen of North Fond du Lac passed away unexpectedly Oct 26, 2011 from complications after open-heart surgery at St Luke’s Hospital in Milwaukee. She was born April 24, 1925 in Schylerville, New York to James and Mabel Smith Garner. Beatrice worked as an R.N. and as director of nurses for many years in various nursing homes and hospitals in the Berkshire County area. She was a woman of high integrity, who knew her own mind and who fiercely loved her family. She was the beloved Mother of George A. Elliman 3rd-Nancy, Fond du Lac, Wi, Walter Elliman –Kathi, Tewksbury, Ma, Robert Elliman, Williamstown, Ma and step daughter Wendy E. Gorlick-Alan, Tampa, Fl. The loving grandmother of Aaron Elliman-Heidi, Natural Bridge, N.Y, Rebecca Elliman-Pat Roggow, Berlin, Wi, Katie Bowman-Jeff Gallert, Ripon, Wi, Sara Elliman, Berlin,Wi, Sharon Langan-Eric, Tewskbury, Ma, Dan Elliman-Ashley Rose, Tewksbury, Ma, 15 great grandchildren, 5 step great grandchildren and 1 step great great grandson. She will be sorely missed by her loving companion Gordon Barrett of North Fond du Lac, her two sisters- in- law -aunt Norma Elliman Breault Giroux-Leonard, Pittsfield, Ma, aunt Cecile Garner of Springfield Mo, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband George A. Elliman 2nd in 1947, her second husband Walter Elliman in 1982, her third husband Joe Goguen in 1985, her brother James, sister Doris, and her parents. Bea loved to travel and explore, she enjoyed nature and was a member of the Wild Life Assoc. She liked to read, was a champion at crossword puzzles, and always walked miles early every morning. Her very favorite foods were pepperoni pizza and pecan pie. Memorials can be made to the Wildlife Assoc. A memorial service will be held Saturday Nov 12, at 12 noon followed by a pizza party at Trakel Hall at the Cathedral of St. Paul, 51 W. Division St., Fond du Lac. The family will receive guests from 11am until the time of service. Twohig Funeral Home, Fond du Lac is serving the family.
