Earl Unferth

Earl B. Unferth, 79, of Fond du Lac passed away Wednesday Oct. 26, 2011 at the Hospice Home of Hope. He was born in the town of Byron on February 10, 1932 the son of the late Benjamin and Clara Hayes Unferth. He served his country in the U.S. Army in Korea from 1951 until 1954. He worked for Stella Cheese and Universal Foods for 31 years. Earl drove bus for Johnson Bus for 17 years and worked at the Bicycle Repair Shop for 4 years. He was a member of the Teamsters Union and the Bintzler-Waehler American Legion Post #347. Survivors include his sisters: Jeanette (Phil) Patterson and Marianne Wondra of Campbellsport, Linda (Lloyd) Bonlender of Lowell and Sandra Sue Soeller of Fond du Lac, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters: Betty (Franklin) Schabel and Edna Mae Unferth and two brothers: Ken (Lucille) Unferth and Paul (Joan) Klebs. Military services will be held on Monday Oct. 31st at 1:00 PM at the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum Chapel at the Ledgeview Memorial Park. Memorials are appreciated to the Hospice Home of Hope.
