Edward Arnold Galligan

August 12, 1924 — January 6, 2012

Edward A. Galligan, 87, of the Town of Osceola passed away Friday Jan. 6, 2012 at the Kindred Hearts of Fond du Lac. Ed was born in the Town of Osceola on Aug. 12, the son of the late Ezra and Anna (nee Kutz) Galligan. He served in the U.S. Army from 1946 to 1949. Ed worked at Koehler Company, Elwing Broom Factory in Campbellsport and then at the Eden Feed Mill before retiring. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and gardening. Survivors include his brother James (Jackie) Galligan, his sisters Doris (Bob) Way, Ruth Long and Genevieve (Melvin) Stoffel, his sisters-in-law Donna Galligan and JoAnn Galligan, his brother-in-law Charles Vargas, many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Ed was preceded in death by his brothers Levi, Donald, Orville, Roy and Marvin, his sisters Laura Galligan and Mabel Wehner Varga, his sisters-in-law Virginia Galligan and Patsy Galligan and his brothers-in-law Herb Wehner and Leo Long. Funeral services will be held on Sunday Jan. 8th at 7:00 PM at the Twohig Funeral Home, 109 W. Main St. Campbellsport with military services to follow. Rev. Laura Hawkins will officiate and entombment will be Monday at 10:00 AM at the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum in Ledgeview Memorial Park, Fond du Lac. Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00 PM until time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated to Heartland Hospice.
