Sister Elizabeth Ruskamp, SSSF, “Sister Menarda” 90 passed away Saturday Jan. 7, 2012 at St. Joseph Convent, Campbellsport. She was born on Jan. 30, 1921 in Orlean, Nebraska, the daughter of the late Joseph and Anne (nee GrossRhode) Ruskamp. Sister joined the School Sisters of St. Francis on June 6, 1937 and professed her vows on Aug. 12, 1939. Sister Elizabeth served her community as a teacher at various community missions. Sister Elizabeth is survived by her sister Sister Catherine Ruskamp, SSSF of St. Joseph Convent, Campbellsport, her brothers Ray (Margaret) Ruskamp of Dodge, ME and Francis (Bernadine) Ruskamp of Scribner, NE, nieces, nephews and the School Sisters of St. Francis Community with whom she shared her life for 75 years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday Jan.17, 2012 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Convent, 526 Mill St. Campbellsport. Burial will follow in Sisters Cemetery, Campbellsport.
