Edgar C. Miller, 79, of Fond du Lac died at the Hospice Home of Hope on Thurs. Jan. 26, 2012. He was born in Milwaukee on May 21, 1932, the son of Elmer and Florence (Miller) Miller. Edgar served his country in the U.S. Army in Germany during the Korean era. In 1957 he married Loretta I. Hoecherl. Edgar was employed as an insurance adjustor for over 30 years and was a member of Hope Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife Loretta, two sons: Paul (Barbara Wesson) Miller of Milwaukee and David (Debbie) Miller of Port St. Lucie, FL, four daughters: Jan (Steve) Stoddard of West Yellowstone, MT, Jeri (Rob) Winer of Silver Springs, MD, Judith (Jay) Olivas of Cathedral City, CA and Kristin (Michael) Sholtis of Springfield, MO. Edgar is further survived by 5 grandsons: Michael and Mitchell Stoddard, Alex and Jonathan Miller and Brennan Winer, one brother-in-law George Schneider of Pewaukee, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Ruth Schneider. Memorial Services will be held on Sat. Feb. 4, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Hope Lutheran Church at 260 Vincent Street with Rev. Steven Huff officiating and burial at 1 PM at Ledgeview Memorial Park in Fond du Lac. Friends may call on Sat Feb. 4th from 10 AM until 11 AM at the church.
