Gene R. Randall, 82 of Fond du Lac passed away Thursday Feb. 23, 2012 after a battle with blood cancer at the Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac. He was born on August 24, 1929 in Fond du Lac, the son of George and Evelyn Towne Randall. On July 30th, 1949, he married Dorothy L. Braatz at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac. Gene worked construction for Towne Construction and Krueger Construction until retiring. He loved watching the Packers, NASCAR and golf and enjoyed hunting and playing cards, especially sheepshead. Survivors include his wife Dorothy, his sons Mark (Veronica) of Eden, Scott (Therese) of Glenbeulah and Brad (Jill) of Lamartine, his grandchildren Steve (Jess) Randall, Samantha (Caleb) Pike and Johannah Randall, his great-granddaughter Sydnee Randall, his sisters Gail (Dudley) Schmidt of Lamartine and Sandra (Donald) Krueger of Fond du Lac, his sisters-in-law Mary (Kenneth) Laufer and Mary Ann Braatz of Campbellsport, many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws William and Minnie Braatz, his daughter Phyllis, his granddaughter Stephany and his brothers, Donald, Melvin and Gary. Private family services will be held Saturday, February 25th at the Twohig Funeral Home, 305 Fond du Lac Ave., Fond du Lac. Rev.
