William K. Doty Jr., age 56 formerly of Acworth/Marietta GA passed away peacefully at the Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac on Monday Mar. 19, 2012. He was born on Sept 1, 1955 in Germany the son of William Sr. and Juanita Knapp Doty. He graduated from Brighton High School in 1973. He married Diane Mahnke on August 22, 1990 in Smyrna, GA. William is survived by his wife Diane, his father William (Janet) Sr. of Deckerville, MI, three step children: Brian (Joyce) Day of NH, Aaaron (Karrie) Day of GA and Candy Fortner of AL, 4 step grandchildren: Sarah Day, Kathy and Crystal Gordon and Chelsea Wagner, 2 brothers: Bruce (Ginger) Doty of MI and Henry Doty of OH, 2 sisters: Debbie Caldwell and Wendy(Mike) Galloway and step sister Dawn(Ed) Zapinski, 2 brother-in-laws: Mike Mahnke of Fond du Lac and Daren (Laura) Mahnke of Hartford, 3 sister-in-laws: Kathy Guettel of Kewaskum, Sandy (Tom) Martin of NM and Lorri (Mike) Heimbach of Fond du Lac, numerous nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother and one brother Douglas. Private family services were held. His cremated remains will be interred in Washtenong Memorial Park in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
