Norman Bernard Serwe, 75, of Campbellsport found eternal peace on March 29, 2012. He was born February 4, 1937 to Frances and Mathias Serwe. On January 6, 1962, he married Sally Schill of Ashford Norman and Sally had three children, Randy (Eileen Krug) of Eden, Renee (Cary) Beisbier of Campbellsport, and Robyn (Jim) Cornelius of Grafton. He was the proud grandfather of seven grandchildren: Jessica, Jenna, and Justin Serwe; Brett & Brittany Beisbier, and Ian and Ben Cornelius. He was a lifelong member of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church and had great faith in the Lord. Norman served in the Navy on the USS Des Moines from 1956-1960. He made his home in Campbellsport and proudly served on the Village Board. He worked at Precision Metals for many years until his retirement. Norman enjoyed polka music, sports, playing cards, and visiting with anyone who cared to chat-especially on his front porch swing. He found his purpose and joy in loving God, family, and friends. He was grateful for everything and everyone in his life. He is survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren. Of his 12 brothers and sisters, he is survived by Virginia, Frank, Matty, Cyril, Joanne and Kathy. He is further survived by many brother and sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Sunday April 1st at St. Matthew’s Church, Campbellsport, from 2:00 PM until time of Mass. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Sunday April 1st at 5:00 PM at St. Matthew’s Church in Campbellsport. Rev. Neil Zinthefer will officiate and private burial services with Military Rites will be Monday in the parish cemetery.
