Mabel M. Floyd, 81, of Campbellsport passed away Wed. May 23, 2012 at the Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac. She was born on May 8, 1931 in Mt. Calvary the daughter of the late John and Barbara Gundert Schmitz. On Sept. 2, 1950, she married Thomas R. Floyd at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mt. Calvary. She was a member of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, Campbellsport and the Mission Sewing Circle. Mabel enjoyed quilting (making over 275), gardening, and her birds but most important to Mabel was the time spent with her family, her children, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include her children Jane (Daniel) Seiser of Waupun, Christine (Dale) Elsinger of Campbellsport, Andrew “Butch” (Mary) Floyd of Campbellsport, David (Kim) Floyd of Whitewater, Julie (Alan) Miller of Eden, Timothy (Kathy) Floyd of Fond du Lac, Mary (Paul) Straub of Campbellsport, Rose (Frank) Sarauer of Fond du Lac and Stephen Floyd of Campbellsport, twenty-six grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas on Sept. 4, 1997 and her ten brothers and sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday May 29th at 11:30 AM at St. Matthew’s Church in Campbellsport. Rev. Neil Zinthefer will officiate and entombment will follow in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum at Ledgeview Memorial Park, Fond du Lac. Visitation will be Monday May 28th from 3 to 7 PM at the Twohig Funeral Home, 109 W. Main St. Campbellsport and on Tues. May 29th at St. Matthew’s Church from 10 AM until time of Mass.
