Sister Marie Kummet, SSSF, “Sister Amelia”, 93, passed Monday July 2, 2012 at St. Joseph Convent in Campbellsport. She was born on May 3, 1919 in Lastrup, Minnesota, the daughter of the late George and Amelia Lorenz Kummet. Sister received her RN degree from Sacred Heart School of Nursing. She joined the School Sisters of St. Francis on June 21, 1942 and professed her vows on March 20, 1944. Sister served her community as a Registered Nurse at various community missions. Sister Marie is survived by her nephews and nieces and the School Sisters of St. Francis Community with whom she shared her life for 70 years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday July 5, 2012 at 1:30 PM at St. Joseph Convent, 526 Mill St. Campbellsport. Burial will follow in Sisters Cemetery, Campbellsport.
