Sedonia C. Hensen, nee Dreifuerst, of Campbellsport passed away on Tuesday evening, July 3, 2012 at Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac at the age of 100. She was born on July 30, 1911, in St. Joe, WI to the late Florian and Elizabeth Kasper Dreifuerst. On July 6, 1931, she was united in marriage to Rolland J. Hensen at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fond du Lac. Sedonia and her husband owned and operated Hensen's Sheet Metal in Campbellsport for many years. She was a member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church, where she volunteered her time with the Christian Women, Mission Sewing Circle and Collections Counters. She was President of the Senior Citizens in Campbellsport for 10 years, a member of the Samaritan League for 30 years, worked at the Blood Bank for over 30 years, volunteered with Loaves & Fishes, Meals on Wheels and numerous other activities. Over the years she enjoyed bowling, playing cards and spending time with her family, especially the little ones. She is survived by sons, David (Phyllis) and Richard (Barb) of Campbellsport and Paul (Helen) of Florence, AZ; three daughters Joyce (Jim) St. Mary of Gleason, Faye (Richard) Thoma of Yelm, WA and Lou Ann (Mark) Benike of Campbellsport; 23 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren. Other survivors include a brother-in-law Deacon Robert Hensen of Plover; two sisters-in-law, Alice Dreifuerst of New Holstein and Gertrude Vogds of Fond du Lac. She was preceded in death by her husband, son Peter, 2 grandchildren, 2 brothers, 7 sisters and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00,AM on Saturday July 7, 2012 at St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Campbellsport. Rev. Neil Zinthefer will officiate and burial will follow at the parish cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, July 6th from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Twohig Funeral Home, 109 W. Main St. Campbellsport and again on Sat. from 9:00 AM until the time of service at St. Matthew's Catholic Church.
