Frederick H. Kissinger, 80, of West Bend passed away peacefully Thursday July 12, 2012 at the Hartford Care Center. He was born on June 26th, 1932, to Harry and Mary (Schleining) Kissinger. He was united in marriage to Ruth (Schlueter) Kissinger on December 5th, 1959. After serving in the United States Air Force, Fred became a Journeyman Machinist and worked for the A.O. Smith Company for 43 years before retiring. In his spare time and after retiring, Fred’s passion was helping nature to grow. There were many times he would take his family out for a drive in the Kettle Moraine to walk through the woods and look for ginseng and other types of plants or to simply just enjoy the outdoors. He was a great lover of animals and was never without a pet dog or cat. Fred is survived by his wife of 52 years Ruth, his children, MaryBeth Kissinger, Nancy (Michael) Klessig, Tammy (Mark) Larson, Frederick Jr., Dianne (Ronald) Kircher, Daniel (Mary) Deering, Debra (Robert) Zettler, Darla Fischer, Dori (Donald) Schomisch, 19 grandchildren, Deanna Torres, Jenny Deering, Karla Zommers, Karmen Peil, Jamie Salyers, April Hanke, Rachel Mikyska, Elizabeth Brandt, Jacob Zettler, Rhonda Woppert, Kimberly Bigelow, Nicholas Bigelow, Jacob Bigelow, Jesse Schomisch, Tracy Schomisch, Hunter Holz, Kyle Klessig, Miranda Larson and Dalton Larson. Also surviving him is sister-in-law, Flo Kissinger, nephew Scott (Amy) Kissinger and niece Sue Kissinger along with 16 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Preceding Fred in death were his parents, his brother Harry, Jr. and grandchildren Adam Bigelow, Steven Salyers and Richard Kircher. Visitation will be Monday July 16th from 4:00 PM until the time of service at the Twohig Funeral Home, 109 W. Main St. Campbellsport. A Memorial Service will be Monday July 16th at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
