Jessie John King, at the age 35, joined his mother, Karen Mengel, in heaven Monday August 6, 2012. He was born December 18, 1976, in Fond du Lac. Jessie was an avid fisherman, enjoyed music festivals, and spending time with family and friends. Jessie graduated from Green Lake High School in 1995, and proceeded to join the Iron Workers Union. He is survived by his brother Shawn (fiancé Cheri Ours) Duley of Campbellsport, his nieces and nephews Hailey, Codie, and Kennedy Duley and Tyler Miller, his aunts Jo (David) Stanley and Susan Titel, his uncles Jim (Joanne) Mengel and Jeff Mengel, his cousins Kellie (Cory) Toth, Nichole (Ray) Bogust, Jason (Kris) Freismuth and Farrah (Jason) Ramminger, his “special nieces and nephews” Nathianal Krenn, Madison Toth, Abby and Autumn Freismuth and Hayden and Cole Mostek. Also survived by close friends Corby Jebron and Tony Weimer. Jessie was preceded in death by his mother Karen Mengel, his maternal grandparents Patsy Snyder and Rudolph Mengel, and his sister Hope Kaftamski. Visitation will be Friday, August 10th from 4-7 PM at Twohig Funeral Home of Fond du Lac, with a brief service to follow. Cremation and inurnment at Calvary Cemetery will take place at a later date. In lieu of Flowers, a memorial has been established at Twohig Funeral Home, 305 Fond du Lac Avenue, Fond du Lac. A memorial tree will be planted in his name.
