Eugene G. Floyd, 96, of Fond du Lac passed away Saturday Dec. 15, 2012 at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home. He was born on March 29, 1916 in Fond du Lac, the son of the late Chester and Anna Halter Floyd. Eugene married Erna Salzwadel in Fond du Lac and she preceded him in death in 1984. He worked as a plaster and drywall contractor until retiring. Eugene was a member of Holy Family Parish-St. Mary’s Church in Fond du Lac. He enjoyed fishing, the Packers and Northern Wisconsin living north of Antigo for a number of years but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. Survivors include his daughter Denise (Bill) Waldschmidt of Fond du Lac, his grandchildren Lisa (Mike) Lindley, Ryan (Connie) Waldschmidt and Kelly Waldschmidt (spec. friend Tony Stenz), his great grandchildren Caleb, Ava and Jackson, his special friend Arlene Johnson, his brother Joseph (Lois) Floyd of Eden, his sister Mary (Nick) Dickrell of Sheboygan, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Along with his wife Erna, he was preceded in death by his son Jerry, his brother Tom and Tom's wife Mabel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday Dec. 17th at 1:00 PM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 63 E. Merrill, Fond du Lac. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Fond du Lac. Visitation will be Monday Dec. 17th at St. Mary’s Church from 11:00 AM until time of Mass.
