Daniel Thomas O’Brien, 51, of Eden, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, January 2, 2013. He was born on May 19, 1961 with a twin brother Dennis Joseph. He was united in Marriage on August 6, 1983 to Patricia Lynn Maxia at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Eden. He was a 1979 graduate of St. Mary Springs of Fond du Lac. He worked for Dairyland Seed of Kewaskum, Equity Cooperative Livestock Sales, O’Brien Brothers Auctioneers, and most recently at Flood Oil Company in the heart of Eden. Dan was actively involved in Eden community events including the Thresheree, Pedal Pulls, and the Annual Fireman’s Parade and Picnic. He was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church, the Eden Lion’s Club, and the Eden Village Board. He also held a Real Estate License. Those Danny leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife Patty and his son Joshua Daniel; his parents, James D. and Helen M. O’Brien of Eden; three brothers, Jim of Dundee, Tim (Corina) of Campbellsport and his twin brother Dennis (Starla) of Eden; six sisters, Jean Green of North Fond du Lac, Barbara (Michael) Senn of Fond du Lac, Patty O’Brien of North Fond du Lac, Karen (Hardy) Stewart of Eden, Chris (Joe) Schiek and Maureen Ottery (fiancé Andy Heimerl) both of Fond du Lac; nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and many other relatives, co-workers and dear friends. Visitation will be held at Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church W1562 County Rd. B Eden on Monday, January 7, 2013 from 2:00 to 5:30pm. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 6:00pm. Rev. Joseph Juknialis will officiate. Burial will take place on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Eden at 11am. Memorials may be directed to the Leukodystrophy Foundation or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
