Grace Lillian Motl, 90, of Milwaukee passed away peacefully in Fond du Lac on January 7, 2013. She was born on May 30, 1922 in Milwaukee, WI, to Viola and Anton Berka. She grew up during the great depression as the youngest of eight children… and the only one to graduate from High School (Riverside). During WW2 she worked for the phone company until marrying her husband Edward, an Army Air Corps bombardier, in 1945. Edward preceded her in 1981. Grace spent much of her working life as a parish assistant at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Milwaukee and assisting her husband in running the Motl & Duggan Jewelry Company. She was a volunteer at the Milwaukee County Zoo and worked at Marshall Fields until the age of 85. Grace had three children: Gerald (Roxanne) Motl, James Motl (deceased in 1967) and Peggy (Ken) Kubiak. She is further survived by four grandchildren: Christine (Kevin) Maegly, Kate (Steve) Maselter, Brian Motl and Joe Kubiak and three great grandchildren: Carson James & Gabrielle Lynn Maegly and Jordan Grace Maselter with two additional great grandchildren expected this summer. Family will receive friends Wednesday, January 16th at St. Vincent Pallotti East (Holy Cross Church), 5424 W. Bluemound Rd Milwaukee at 9 AM, followed by a Memorial Funeral Mass at 10 AM. There will be a private burial at Holy Trinity Cemetery. The Twohig Funeral Home of Fond du Lac is assisting the family with the arrangements. Online guestbook
